This short video from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) explores the social and religious representation of women through the art of illumination.

Illumination artist Sylvie Poirier is currently writing a dissertation analyzing religious and social representations of women in French Romano-Gothic illumination, under the direction of Professor Patrick Snyder.
