Ref: 0009930-8: "Triskel" Seal
This is a refined Italian seal that consists of a waxed turned wooden handle and a bronze disc engraved with a Triskel.
The triskelion is the Celtic symbol by definition. Its name comes from the Greek "triskelés," which means three-legged. The symbolism of the triskelion has been interpreted in several ways. It is primarily a lucky charm, but it was originally intended as a solar symbol. Its three joined branches represent triplicity in unity.
It is often said that the triskel represents the three dynamic elements: water, air, fire. Earth would be the center.
Total length of the sealing stamp: 9.5 cm.
Length of the bronze piece screwed to the end of the handle, on which the pellet fits: 1.7 cm.
Diameter of the bronze pellet: 22.5 mm.
Diameter of the screw thread of the pellet: 4 mm.
Made in Italy.
