Ref: 0009930-14: "Star of David" Seal
This is a refined Italian seal that consists of a waxed turned wooden handle and a bronze disc engraved with the "Star of David"
The two intertwined triangles can be interpreted as a symbol of balance between the cosmic forces of Fire and Water. The traditional interpretation shows a "watery" Triangle (female, pointing upwards) and a "fiery" Triangle (male, pointing downwards), their union representing a harmonious dualistic system.
It is said that the famous King Solomon (Shelomoh, in Hebrew, 961-931 BC), son of King David, worked until the moment of his death to cast out demons and summon angels. For this reason, the six-pointed star is also known as the Seal of Solomon or the Shield of David.
Today, however, as part of the state emblem of Israel, it is best known as the Star of David or the Star of Zion.
Unrelated to Jewish tradition, the six-pointed star often appears as a powerful magical symbol in books of magic and exorcisms, according to folk custom.
Total length of the sealing stamp: 9.5 cm.
Length of the bronze piece screwed to the end of the handle, on which the pellet fits: 1.7 cm.
