The box contains a Murano glass dip pen mounted with an alpaca facing. Silver leaves are embedded in the glass of the dip pen, giving it a magnificent luster. The writing nib mounted on the dip pen is made of genuine crystal.
Additionally, this set includes a claw ferrule with a metal nib mounted on it. This allows you to use your pen holder with either the crystal nib or both metal nibs.

The color of crystal nibs usually matches the color of the pen holders. By default, crystal nibs are colorless.

How to prepare new metal nibs before use :

- never flame new feathers.
- place them for 10 minutes in a bowl of boiling water with a drop of dishwashing liquid and a spoonful of coarse salt.
- stir everything well
- rinse with clean water
- dry the feathers very carefully with a hair dryer
- do not let them dry only in the air.
