It is softer than the Sergent-Major Type nib. It is perfectly suited to cursive writing and script.

How to prepare new feathers before use:
- Never flame new feathers. - Place them in a bowl of boiling water with a drop of dish soap and a spoonful of coarse salt for 10 minutes. - Stir well. - Rinse with clean water. - Dry the feathers very carefully with a hairdryer. - Do not let them air dry.
