Modeler, Molder, Sculptor, Reproduce!
Plastiline is used in these different areas:
- Sculpture . It allows you to research designs, create models, and take precise prints. During the process, you can modify details at any time, add or remove Plastiline; no seams are visible. From the model made in Plastiline, you can create a definitive work in resin.
-Creation . Cinema , theater, and the furniture industry use Plastiline for creating sets and characters. It is ideal for reproducing objects in simple relief. Reproduction accuracy is around 1/10th of a mm. -Industry . It is used for manufacturing prototypes in the automotive, aeronautics, nautical, electrical, electronics, and ballistics sectors.
-Restoration . It is a very valuable element in the restoration of art and decorative objects.
Mold making . Molding operations use Plastiline, which prevents inhibition and pollution of elastomers sensitive to metals and certain plastics. Plastiline is a mold for the following casting materials: plaster, cement, silicones, low-melting alloys, polyurethanes, etc.
- Help with area circumscription . Plastiline allows you to study casting areas and more generally to measure the depth of scratches.
Directions for use : no deformation of the mass is to be feared for the realization of the models, because the Plastiline has an excellent hold. As it does not dry in the air, it is possible to rework your model as many times as necessary. It can then be softened with the hands, a heat gun, a hair dryer, etc., then put it in the refrigerator to harden again.
Made in France.
Use
Plasticine is worked:
as is : by hand or with a tool (usual sculptor's tools)
Softened: it is easier to work with in hard grades. We recommend immersing it in a bain-marie.
liquid: the plastiline is liquefied either in a bain-marie, in the oven or in a container on a heat source (refer to the melting point indicated in the technical data). When putting it into the liquid state, it is advisable to homogenize it well in order to reincorporate the oils which tend to come to the surface when heated. Stir the plastiline using a clean instrument.
silicones : plastiline is compatible with elastomers that harden by polycondensation.
composition : preparation with low oils, mineral waxes and fillers
Density: d = 1.7
Average particle size: 15 microns (mineral fillers)
Storage temperature: 15°C - 25°C
Packaging: 1 or 5 kg tubes
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Plastiline is generally safe to handle, provided certain precautions normally taken when handling chemicals are observed. Waterproof gloves and safety goggles are required when using liquid plastiline. After each work period, users should thoroughly clean their skin with warm water and soap.
