Ref: 1436-6 "Bundle" of Sona Cotton Paper
On order of two minimum.
The "Liasse" collection is manufactured by the fourth generation of kagzi makers in their Jaipur-based workshop. It continues the traditional techniques of these Indian artisans, who once held the sole secrets of rag papermaking.
The craftsman dips the frame into the pulp bath, then takes it out with a deft movement that spreads the fibers across the sieve. He pauses while the water drains, then lays the fresh sheet on a felt pad before plunging the sieve back into the vat, already shaping the next sheet. The gestures are gentle, fluid, the rhythms are regular, the place is calm. In the workshop, the craftsman folds the sheets, assembles them into notebooks, and sews them into a sturdy binding, using fine cotton.
An originality!
The four edges of the leaves are fringed.
You can easily use it as a writing surface with felt-tip pens, pencils, pastels, charcoals, etc.
If you want to use metal nibs and a pen holder, choose dense inks, rich in pigments (such as Indian ink or calligraphy ink), in order to limit the risk of them "bleeding" into the paper.
You can give free rein to your creativity and create an original guestbook for your wedding, a travel diary, a recipe book, a medieval-inspired grimoire, etc.
