A little history...
The Herbin Company was founded in 1670 in Paris, near the towers of Notre-Dame. Ink production began during the First French Empire. Napoleon Bonaparte used these inks, and later his son, the King of Rome.
During the 19th century, Herbin participated in major international exhibitions, including the London Exhibition in 1823, where the company received a medal for the exceptional quality of its inks and waxes. Herbin inks are still recognized worldwide today.

With a bluish tint and green highlights, the ink Emerald of Chivor shines brightly, thanks to its golden glitter, for your greatest pleasure.

It was in the middle of the 16th century that the conquistadors discovered the Colombian emerald mines, in particular that of Chivor, renowned for its blue-tinted emeralds.
From then on, due to their exceptional qualities, they conquered the imperial courts of Europe thanks to Indian merchants. Later, J. Herbin brought some back from his travels in India. It is said that he always kept one on him, because one of the virtues of this stone is to protect travelers...

The stopper is covered with green sealing wax, and a green "1670" wax seal adorns each bottle.
