Ref: 1566-8: Herbin Ink 1670, "Storm Grey"
A little history...
The Herbin Company was founded in 1670 in Paris, near the towers of Notre-Dame. Ink production began during the First French Empire. Napoleon Bonaparte used these inks, and later his son, the King of Rome.
During the 19th century, Herbin participated in major international exhibitions, including the London Exhibition in 1823, where the company received a medal for the exceptional quality of its inks and waxes. Herbin inks are still recognized worldwide today.
Dark in color, the ink Storm Gray is crossed by golden flashes which give it depth and relief.
It recalls the intensity of lightning on the ocean, when merchant ships, including that of Maison Herbin, were tossed on the waves.
50 ml glass bottle.
The stopper is covered with black sealing wax, and a black "1670" wax seal decorates each bottle.
The ink is suitable for all uses: dip pen, fountain pen, quill pen, reed pen, brush, etc.
