This beautiful box, made by an Italian artisan workshop and lined with burgundy velvet, includes a quill pen decorated with a pewter facing, a pewter pen holder, a "Rose cerclée" pewter handcrafted seal, a Herbin "Silver" or "Red" Favorite wax stick with a wick, a 30 ml bottle of black ink, five writing nibs and a blotting pad.

Box dimensions 14.5 x 31 x 8 cm.
The box is made of strong cardboard, quite durable; it is held closed by a burgundy leather cord.

How to prepare new metal nibs before use :

- never flame new feathers.
- place them for 10 minutes in a bowl of boiling water with a drop of dishwashing liquid and a spoonful of coarse salt.
- stir everything well
- rinse with clean water
- dry the feathers very carefully with a hair dryer
- do not let them dry only in the air.
