This beautiful box is lined with burgundy velvet, it includes a quill pen mounted on a pewter facing decorated with a majestic fleur-de-lis, a 30 ml bottle of black ink decorated with a fleur-de-lis, a "Fleur-de-lis" quill pen holder, a genuine pewter "Fleur-de-lis" sealing stamp, a stick of Favorite "Silver" or "Red" wax and eight writing nibs.
Box dimensions 14.5 x 31 x 8 cm.
The box is made of strong cardboard, quite durable; it is held closed by a burgundy leather cord.
Made in Italy and refurbished in France, in our workshop.
Hieroglyphics Tips and Tricks
How to prepare new metal nibs before use :
- never flame new feathers.
- place them for 10 minutes in a bowl of boiling water with a drop of dishwashing liquid and a spoonful of coarse salt.
- stir everything well
- rinse with clean water
- dry the feathers very carefully with a hair dryer
- do not let them dry only in the air.
