How to prepare new feathers before first use:

- never flame new feathers.- place them for 10 minutes in a bowl of boiling water with a drop of dish soap and a spoonful of coarse salt.- stir everything well- rinse with clean water- dry the feathers very carefully with a hairdryer- do not let them dry only in the air.
